Harris Tweed
We only use genuine HARRIS TWEED® for our whisky stave inserts, which is procured directly from Harris Tweed on Harris. We try to have a minimum of fifteen tweeds available at any one time. These fifteen tweeds can change however, as they sell out and are replaced.
Who or What is Harris Tweed?
Did you know, "The definition of HARRIS TWEED® is enshrined in law, with clear legal criteria laid down in the Harris Tweed Act of 1993" and "hand-woven by the islanders at their home in the Outer Hebrides and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides”.
Harris Tweed is heavy, rich and vibrant in colour. They perfectly compliment our whisky tasting trays by adding extra quality and distinction and they also make our hand made whisky gifts truly a product of SCOTLAND.
All our whisky tasting staves come with a choice of the HARRIS TWEED®, to enable you to customise your whisky flight tray with your favourite colour or tartan.
